Member Benefits
-
Quarterly meetings. These meetings focus on issues of interest to volunteer program or community relations managers. Past programs have covered such topics as: gaining media exposure for community programs; creating and implementing a paid release time policy; and evaluating employee volunteer programs.
-
Free or reduced-price training programs. The CVC has offered members the opportunity to attend half- or full-day seminars or events to explore aspects of corporate volunteer program management. Topics covered have included leadership training, measurement and evaluation and teambuilding strategies.
-
Targeted networking opportunities. Through CVC programs, members have the opportunity to meet other professionals involved with corporate volunteerism and to share ideas and resources. The CVC also works to connect members with experts in the field from the United Way, The Center for Corporate Citizenship at Boston College and the Points of Light Institute.
-
Leadership positions. CVC programs are organized by an executive committee comprised of members who are elected to leadership positions every year. Any CVC member who is interested in becoming more involved is welcome to do so - the opportunities are endless!
